You may have a sibling, friend, partner, parent or someone else that is close to you and living with an Eating Disorder. Eating Disorders impact and effect a lot more people then just the person living with it.
At Seventy4 we currently provide two different forms of support for those affected by someone else's eating disorder. These include:
1. Individual counselling
2. Group support
Individual Counselling
Individual counselling sessions provide those affected by someone else's eating disorder or addiction with a safe and secure way to explore the dynamics of living with the individual concerned.
Counselling sessions are held weekly and last for approximately 50 mins. Each session is delivered by highly experienced and qualified counsellors / psychotherapists who are highly proficient within the addiction field.
Individual counselling is priced at £50.00 per session, available Monday – Friday 9.30am – 5.00pm and until 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Group Support
Seventy4 is initiating a therapeutic group meeting, taking place once a fortnight to support anyone who is adversely affected by someone else's eating disorder. Facilitated by an experienced eating disorder counsellor, the group will be solely for carers to explore their own feelings in relation to another's eating disorder.
Those that attend will benefit from being able to share their own thoughts and feelings with others in similar situations and have their own time to sit within a therapeutic group environment.
The cost to attend this fortnightly group therapy session will be £20.00. The group will have their first meeting on Tuesday 10th August, from 6.00-7.30pm. Meetings will then take place every two weeks. For further information or to reserve a place on the group please call 0207 233 0400 and ask to speak with Hayley.
